Why Transitions Is The Starting Point For Addiction Recovery

Transitions Addiction Recovery Program

Have you ever wondered what your life would be like if you weren’t an addict? Have you tried to recover and fallen back into the groove of using again? If so, let us ask, are you ready for a new beginning? It may seem like a simple question, but it might be the most important question you answer in this first step towards addiction recovery. Are you truly ready? If you answered yes, then you’re in the right spot. If you answered no, we encourage you to read on so when you are ready to start a new beginning, you’ll know exactly where to come.

It wasn’t long ago when many of our current patients at Transitions Recovery were in the exact same position as you are right now. They were ready for a change and wanted to rush into recovery. But what they quickly learned, is wanting help is merely the first step in the long, yet rewarding, journey ahead.

This journey is filled with ups and downs, twists and turns. It is a Transition that takes you from where you are right now, into a fulfilled and happy life. Throughout it, you will learn more about your addiction and yourself. So what is the second step you may ask? That is where we come in.

At Transitions Recovery, our substance abuse treatment philosophy is based on the belief that all of our patients are unique individuals who hold the ability to lead successful, fulfilling lives. We understand that addiction recovery is more than just ridding your life of drugs – it is finding what works for each individual depending on their experience and personality. What works for you may not work for someone else and that is okay. Our job is to help you find out what does work and continue to support you through your journey in every way possible.

How Do We Do That?

First, we meet with you and your family. This is where we perform a deep evaluation of your addiction and how you got here. We answer any and all questions you may have throughout the process and educate your family on what you are going through and what to expect.

Then we welcome you into our home and provide a warm, reality-based therapeutic environment, guided by compassionate, professional staff. With intense, ongoing care that provides structure and support, you will begin your journey to recovery. In addition to a strong base in early recovery skills, our program is complemented by a focus on relationships, anger management, spirituality, co-existing mental health conditions, and relapse prevention.

Eventually, this residential treatment at Transitions Recovery provides a gradual transition back to work, family, and the community through a reality-based alcohol and drug treatment center environment.

Transitions isn’t only the starting point of your addiction recovery, it is the middle and the end. Throughout the entire process, from you reading this article to getting treatment, you will slowly transition into a new life one day at a time. What is more, we will be there for every step of every day, to support you. If you are interested in more information about our admissions and our supportive drug treatment center, please call 1-800-626-1980 now to talk to us.
